Readiness Assessments

These are feasibility studies that aim to discover whether FPO can offer open source solutions to government. Before any FOSS migration could happen it is imperative to assess the readiness of each department’s fitness to migrate to FOSS.

  • FPO facilitates readiness assessments;
  • Assist in development of migration strategies;
  • Perform monitoring and assessments;
  • Act as migration consultants.
  • FOSS internship programmes
  • Training for government IT managers, technicians and endusers
  • Advice on FOSS skills development
  • Help in establishing competency centres for operational support which then produce skilled individuals.

FOSS Rating and Development

  • Assess and rate software usability
